Art Lastik was founded in 1972 by my father and eldest brother with the goals of innovation and going beyond the ordinary in the tire industry. As brothers Hasan Demir and Cengiz Demir, we have been carrying forward the company we inherited from our family, working side by side for more than 30 years. With the contributions of our family, employees, colleagues, and valued customers, we continue to improve our services every day to meet the needs of the tire industry in the best possible way.
We worked very hard so that our customers could receive the best service in return for the money they paid, and we took risks when necessary. In some of the risks and decisions we took, we were mistaken; at other times, even when we were mistaken, we did not give up and continued to follow our dreams. By continuing our operations honestly and with openness to criticism, we raised customer satisfaction to the highest level. Thanks to the risks we took over 30 years and the trust our customers placed in us, we brought more than 200 tire brands and more than 100 employees into our organization.
Our responsibilities are now much greater than before. We must work more carefully and attentively, considering the personnel and dealers within our organization. We pass on our experience to our colleagues who trust us with their capital and become our dealers, as well as to our employees. We help our dealers gain the ability to sell in their regions without entering into competition.
Our priority has always been to start every job with command of the details. By continuing our activities honestly and with openness to criticism, we established our online tire sales website artvinticaret.com in 2004 and achieved a first in Turkey. Over the years, many of my colleagues who decided to become part of this movement began activating their own online sales websites. Even though we have achieved firsts, there is still a very, very long road ahead of us.
